John Robert “Rob” Danison, age 54 of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus, Ohio.
Born July 12, 1966 in Logan, he was the son of Phyllis Jean (Edgar) Danison and the late Albert Leroy Danison of Maxville, Ohio.
Rob was a laborer for the General Electric Glass Plant of Logan. He was also a former volunteer fireman for the Washington Township Fire Department for many years. Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and smoking/grilling food for his family and friends. He was also a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Logan Chieftains. Most of all, Rob enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
Besides his mother, Rob is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Ann “Cathy” (Roop) Danison; daughter, Jessica Lynn (Carl Starkey) Danison of Lancaster, Ohio; three brothers, Ronnie Lee (Regina) Danison of Lancaster, Donnie Leroy (Vicki) Danison of Logan, and Bradley Allen (Julie) Danison of New Straitsville, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Ann (Dave) Thrapp and Lisa Jean (Adam) Stevens, both of Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Rob was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Chuck and Betty Roop; nephews, Joe Roop and Kevin Mohler; and niece Amy Mohler.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home-Logan, with Deacon Donald A. Robers and Pastor Steven R. Hubbard officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery - Logan.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
