John Eric Kilbarger

John Eric Kilbarger, aged 52 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster on Monday, December 16, 2024.

Born April 30, 1972 in Lancaster, Ohio, he was the son of Ralph “Skip” Kilbarger and the late Sara Jane (Grile) Kilbarger.

During life, John worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Fairfield County Engineer’s Office in Lancaster, Ohio and had an array of excavation side projects. He was a 1991 graduate of Berne Union High School. What John treasured most, were the good times he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Besides his father, John is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jennifer Jo (McCormick) Kilbarger; daughter, Kaitlyn Marie Kilbarger; son, Kolton Thomas Kilbarger; brother, Timothy Kilbarger of Sugar Grove, Ohio; and sister, Kathy Johnson of Lancaster, Ohio.

Besides his mother, John was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kilbarger; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Sue McCormick.

Visitation will be held at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio from 3-7 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, and 10-11 AM on Friday, December 20, 2024. Following visitation on Friday, burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
