John David “JD” Bower III, aged 55 of Logan, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Born October 2, 1970, he was the son of John David Bower II and Rebecca (Tucker) Tripp.
During life, JD worked as a bore foreman at Miller Pipeline. He had a kind heart, and never hesitated to help someone in need. JD’s garage was his happy place, where he loved working on anything with a motor, something he was exceptionally skilled at. He also enjoyed autocross at the Hocking County Fair. Most of all, JD loved being a “Pop Pop” to his beloved grandchildren.
Besides his parents, JD is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Ann (Cottrill) Bower; sons, Cody (Sarah) Bower of Logan, Ohio and Brandon (Megan) Bower of Creola, Ohio; grandchildren, Hartley, Chandler, Karsyn, and Brystol Bower; brother, Tony (Amy) Bower; grandmother, Mary “Mertie” Garrett; and beloved dogs, Mia and Finn.
JD is preceded in death by his stepfather, Lanny Tripp; and grandparents, John and Jean Bower and David Tucker.
A funeral service officiated by Joshua N. Martin will be held at 1 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, November 17, 2024 at the Roberts Funeral Home.
