Kerrill Denise Dennis, aged 66 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.
Born March 16, 1957 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wayne James and Mildred Carman (Merrill) Dennis.
Kerrill was a former factory worker for Logan Metalbestos Co. and Smead Manufacturing Co. in Logan, Ohio. She was the inaugural winner of the state of Ohio’s women’s track and field championship in the discus event. Kerrill also served as the mascot for Logan Chieftain and Tomahawk football games for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and had a love for all animals.
Kerrill is survived by her nephew, Jared (Kaylynn Everett) Crosby; sister, Kendra Sue “Punk” Heidlebaugh; best friends, Diane (Brooksie) Campbell, Beth Cooke, and Sandy and Ronald L. Cox; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Kerrill was preceded in death by her sisters, Carmita “Diane” Krannitz and Karen Jo Glick; brothers, Ronald Dennis and Robert Dennis; and her special friend, Janice Neff.
A funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Roberts Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Ronald L. Cox.
Visitation for Kerrill will take place on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio from 6-8 PM.
