Lenise Ann Fisher, aged 69 of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 25, 1953 in Monroe, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie (Fragner) Sanglier.
Lenise formerly owned Buds ‘N Blooms flower shop in Monroe. She was declared the first female firefighter in the state of Michigan when she volunteered for the Frenchtown Township Fire Department. She was also a dispatcher for both the Monroe City Police Department and Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department. Lenise was a very loving, giving and caring person whose family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed by those that knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tommy G. Fisher; two daughters, Renee Hammac of New Boston, Michigan and Rebecca (Scott) Bomia of Dundee, Michigan; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and two sisters, Linda Freeman and LeeAnn (Joseph) Thoma of Michigan.
Besides her parents, Lenise was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Hardy.
A Celebration of Lenise’s Life will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the family’s home beginning at 1 PM.
