Lois Hemsworth

Lois H. “Patty” (Smith) Hemsworth, age 91 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at The Ridge in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born November 16, 1929 in Carbon Hill, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harry Devol and Gertrude Suzanna (Oakley) Smith.

Lois was a graduate of Carbon Hill High School and longtime cook at Logan Hocking Schools. She loved to read and loved tending her rosebushes.

Lois is survived by one son, Glenn Robert “Rob” (Beverly) Hemsworth of Logan; one daughter, Patrice Lynn (David) Ogg of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and one sister, Betsy (William) Lax of Jensen Beach, Florida.

Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Roslyn Hemsworth (2012); grandson Chad R. Hemsworth; three brothers, Oakley, Phillip, and Robert Smith; and one sister, Kathryn M. McGuire.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home - Logan, Ohio, with Joshua N. Martin officiating.

Burial will follow in Knollwood Cemetery, Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the funeral home.
