Lorena Darlene (Howland) Rowe

Lorena Darlene Rowe, aged 79 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio following a brief illness.  

Born March 25, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Adkins) Howland.

Lorena was a homemaker that enjoyed crocheting, sewing, carpentry and music. She enjoyed attending the Ebenezer Baptist Church Friendly Neighbor’s Sunday School Class and taught karate locally for many years. Lorena also enjoyed cooking for her family, canning vegetables from her garden and tending her flowerbeds. Always an excellent listener, she always had a positive outlook on life. This is how she will be remembered.

Lorena is survived by one son, Mark Ryan (Brenda) Rowe of Logan and two grandchildren, Matthew Rowe and Clarissa Bates.

Besides her parents, Lorena was preceded in death by her husband, Velmar Lee Rowe (2009); son, Vernon Ray Rowe; brother, Tony; and sisters, Agnes and Janet.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Roberts Funeral Home- Logan, with Rev. Bruce Livingstone officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery- Logan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
