Louis “Dee” Hacquard II, aged 80, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his residence.
Born January 6, 1944 in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis Dee and Irene Lucile (Eddy) Hacquard.
Dee retired after 35 years of teaching English, most recently at Tri-County JVS in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a member of the Lake Kabenung Fishing Club and long-standing member of the “Love Shack Gang”. Dee was a true lover of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and watching the animals from his back deck. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved pets.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Lou (Williams) Hacquard; two sons, Louis Dee “Trace” (Maggie) Hacquard III of Bexley, Ohio and Darrin Noble (Falon Tooley) Hacquard of Huntington, West Virginia; and sister, Laura Leanne (Candy Patchett) of Columbia, Missouri.
A private celebration of Dee’s life will be held at a later date.
Dee’s family suggests donations in his memory may be made to The Asher House via https://www.theasherhouse.com to aid animal rescue.
