Margaret Ellen Grey

Margaret Ellen "Muh" Grey, age 93 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio after an extended illness.

Born February 24, 1918 in Junction City, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Bartholomew and Florence (Sweeney) McGreevy.

Margaret was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Logan, Ohio; formerly worked for Kroger Grocery and A & P Food Stores in New Lexington and Logan, Ohio and for the former Logan J.C. Penney Company. She had retired from the Hocking County Election Board; had been a volunteer at the Hocking Valley Community Hospital for several years and a member and volunteer for the Hocking County Republican Party.

She is survived by one son, John William "Jack" (Alice K.) Grey of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Karen Grey of Bucyrus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kathy Grey of Centerville, Ohio, Nancy (John) Lambert of Lancaster, Ohio, Kevin (Lindsey) Grey of Powell, Ohio and Kay (Kit) Claytor of Clintonville, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Emily Grey and Kinsley Claytor; one brother, Edgar Ned (Martha Ann) McGreevy of Virginia and one sister-in-law, Irene McGreevy of Batavia, Ohio.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Thomas "Tom" Grey (1995), one son, Thomas Lee Grey, one sister, Thelma Garey and two brothers, Paul and William McGreevy.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.

Friends may call at the Roberts Funeral Home, Sunday, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm.

Arrangements are by Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
