Marian Antoinette (Magnacca) Killingsworth

Marian Antoinette (née Magnacca) Killingsworth, aged 87 of Logan, Ohio, entered her heavenly glory on Friday, March 27, 2026 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. A woman of valor, Marian’s unwavering faith, generous heart, welcoming smile, fun-loving spirit, compassionate ear, genuine personality, and unfailing integrity will forever be precious memories to those she left behind.

Marian entered the world on February 6, 1939, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, during its industrial growth period. She was the youngest of seven children born to the late John A. Magnacca from Vastogirardi, Italy, and Anna L. (née Caravella) Magnacca.

A natural athlete and true patriot, Marian turned down a tennis college scholarship to enlist in the United States Army Medical Corps after high school. A fated move, as it turned out. While stationed in Denver, Colorado, she met the love of her life— a fellow soldier, Clarence Eugene “Gene” Killingsworth. Over time, they became two souls united in purpose, faith, and love.

In 1972, after several years working in the Mountain States, Marian and hubby Gene settled in Columbus, Ohio. Marian worked as a secretary to the Vice President of AT&T, then later put her business acumen to task alongside her husband in the jewelry business, where he founded and managed Diamonds Forever Jewelers until their retirement in 2007. Along the way, they selflessly trained and mentored the next generation— nieces, nephews, among others—in solid, ethical business practices.

Always up for an adventure, Marian and Gene custom-built their dream home amid the beauty and serenity of the Hocking Hills—twice! Whenever Marian pulled herself away from grouting, painting, or keeping “Gino” in-line, she’d head for the links. Most Tuesdays and Thursdays you could find her playing a round of golf with her girlfriends. Never losing her athletic drive, she was known to sink a few hole-in-ones. Marian was a member of the Groveport Golf Club and played in the Women’s Golf League at Pine Hill Golf Course.

Hailing from a long line of baking maestros, Marian often set her hand to culinary delights—her pizzelle cookies and homemade pasta were enjoyed by many.

Marian is survived by her loving husband, Gene, just 38 days shy of their 65th wedding anniversary. She’s also survived by her sisters, Philomena Consiglio of Las Vegas, Nevada and Eleanor Potts of Meadville, Pennsylvania, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by sisters Ernestine Magnacca, Frances Harmon, and Ernie Englehardt, brother Ralph Magnacca, and half-brother Dominic Magnacca (of Italy).

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Jean-Luc Zadroga will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. A luncheon celebrating Marian’s life will follow.

A memorial service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, April 6, 2026, with visitation for family and friends starting at 11:00 AM at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home in Meadville, Pennsylvania. A luncheon at St. Mary of Grace’s Parish Center will follow. Interment will be at St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Meadville.

In lieu of flowers, Marian’s family suggests donations in her memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund, 351 N. Market St., Logan, OH 43138.
