Maridel Toops

Maridel Toops, age 79 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Carlin House in Logan.

Born July 23, 1940 in Mount Sterling, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Orla and Elizabeth Ann (Carter) Toops.

Maridel was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. Maridel had also worked as a machine operator for Smead Manufacturing Company with 37 years of service.

Maridel is survived by two living brothers, Larry (Wanda M.) Toops of Union Furnace, Ohio and Jerry (Leah) Toops of Zalesski, Ohio; and two sisters, JoAnne (Bill) Webb of Logan and Pamela (Steve) Venters of Delaware, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Maridel was preceded in death by two sisters, Melinda Toops and Susan Giuliani; and four brothers, Nick, Francis, John, and Russell Toops.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Armstrong Cemetery, Starr Township, Hocking County, Ohio, including a military service by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
