Mary Alice (Chute) Blackstone

Mary Alice Blackstone, aged 72 of Waverly, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her home in Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio.

Born September 21, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Geraldine (Huston) Chute.

During her life, Mary was employed as a manufacturing associate at Smead Manufacturing for 42 years. She was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio. Mary was a member of Venus Chapter #76 Order of the Eastern Star for over 25 years and volunteered at the Central School in Logan during her daughter’s years there, enjoying field trips and helping with other school activities.

Mary is survived by her husband, Terry Lee Blackstone of Waverly, Ohio; and daughter, Ashley Nicole (Blackstone) Wheatley of Columbus, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her infant sister, Sondra Lee Chute.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio, officiated by Reverend Sheree Cole.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.
