Mary Jo (Leffler) Reeves

Mary Jo (Leffler) Reeves, aged 78 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Born April 19, 1947 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George St. Clair and Flossie Lucille (Hewitt) Leffler.

During life, Mary Jo worked as a barmaid at Sam’s Place in Logan, Ohio, as a server at Pizza Crossing in Logan, Ohio, and at Logan Healthcare Center for four years, amongst numerous other careers in the area. She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2168 Auxiliary. She was also the former owner and operator of Mary Jo’s Confectionary as well as LeeZure Pool Company for ten years. A lover of music, Mary Jo greatly enjoyed singing and was a self-taught guitarist, pianist, and organist. Mary Jo also loved animals, especially elephants.

Mary Jo is survived by her sons, John Joseph (Chelsea) Reeves and Michael Wayne (Ginny) Reeves, both of Logan, Ohio; daughter, Teresa Ann Reeves of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Jody VanHoose, Shawn Ray, Jack Reeves, and Abby Reeves; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Madilyn Jo Ray; great-great grandchild Nova Reeves; sister Sonja Kibler; and brother, Roy Leffler.

Besides her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by seven siblings.
