Norma Jean Palmer, aged 88 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Born May 26, 1937 in Maxville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George “Dewey” and Audra Fay (Deible) Howdyshell.
During life, Norma worked for Logan Daily News and Logan Carborundum Company before retiring. She was a graduate of Logan High School and a proud member of the Red Hat Society.
Norma is survived by her sons, Rob (Beth) Myers, Jan (Pam) Myers, Jerry (Paula Rosser) Myers, and Tim (Susie) Myers; step-daughters, Debbie (Joe) Nudo and Laurie Palmer; grandchildren, Katy Conover, Christopher Myers, Adam Myers, Brittany Myers, Cassi Putman, Lacy Myers, Amanda Myers, and Levi Myers; and great-grandchildren, Collin Pannell, Lyric Boyer, Ryatt Boyer, Zoey Daubenmire, Andrew Daubenmire, Owen Smith, Olivia Baker, Oliver Baker, Orion Myers, and Brayden Myers.
Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Palmer (2019); infant daughter, Deborah Sue Myers; siblings, Dale Howdyshell, Roger Howdyshell, Charles Howdyshell,Tate Howdyshell, Betty Keiffer, Edna Yinger, and Ruth Nice; granddaughter, Mallory Myers; and stepson, Keith Palmer.
A funeral service officiated by Joshua N. Martin will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Roberts Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
