Paul Hobart Blosser, aged 100 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at home in Logan, Ohio.
Born August 27, 1923 in Enterprise, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Henry and Edna Mae (Murphy) Blosser.
Paul worked as a railroad conductor for the CSX Corporation before retiring. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. Paul was a devoted member of the St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio and the Logan Moose Lodge Chapter 873, formerly serving as a trustee. Paul was also an avid sports fan, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed growing roses in his garden, taking a great deal of pride in their beauty.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul W. Blosser of Logan, Ohio; daughters, Mary C. (Harley) Howdyshell of Logan, Ohio and Therese A. (Brian) Hughes of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Jake (Stef) Howdyshell, Molly (Chris) Welsh, Cody (Ashley) Ochs, and Mari Beth Spencer; nine great-grandchildren; and his special caregiver, Anna Reichling.
Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Ann (Dolan) Blosser; daughter, Jane (Dave) Spencer; grandson, Joe Howdyshell; and brothers, Foy and Kermit Blosser.
A funeral service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11 AM officiated by Deacon Donald A. Robers followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Visitation will take place from 5-7 PM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Roberts Funeral Home.
