Rachel Evan (Stilwell) McCoy, aged 36 of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
Born April 30, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jim Hoffman and the late Amy Allison (Cook) Stilwell.
Rachel was a graduate of Logan High School and a person whose kindness, humor, and love for life touched everyone she met. She loved fishing, camping, and riding four-wheelers with her friends. She loved music and was an avid reader. She was kind, funny, and loved spending time with her husband. Rachel will be missed by her friends and family, who will cherish the laughter and happiness they shared with her. She will be forever in our hearts.
Besides her father, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Shane” McCoy; aunts, Carrie (Geoff) Cook-Porter of Logan and Peggy (Donald) Wooten of Rockbridge, Ohio; stepsiblings, Saha, Joshua, and Allen James; and cousins, Mitchel (Brittany Emerick) Cook-Solt, Avery Cook-Porter, Cailin Cook-Porter and McCray Wooten.
Besides her mother, Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Greg and Carol Cook; and cousin, Camille Carol Cook.
There will be no services held at this time.
