Randy Eugene Greene

Randy Eugene Greene, aged 65 of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Embassy of Logan on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Born September 10, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Doris Joan (Bumgardner) Greene.

Randy worked as a dispatcher for the Logan Sheriff’s Department before retiring. He was a past National Commander and lifetime member of Sons of Amvets Post #1776. He was also a proud member of Shepherd of the Valley Church of the United Brethren in Christ in Logan, Ohio.

Randy was a manager of the high school basketball and football teams at Logan High School as  well as a little league baseball coach. Randy was also an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Randy is survived by a daughter, two grandchildren, brother, James L. (Kendra) Greene of Carey, Ohio; three nieces; a nephew; ten great-nieces and nephews; and good friends, Christy Mays, Josh Cron, and family.

Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman “Butch” and Helen (Gleason) Bumgardner and Harry and Iva Grace Green.

A Celebration of Randy’s Life officiated by Pastor Jack Johnson will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Church of the United Brethren in Christ in Logan, Ohio at 11 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service at the church.
