Richard “Rich” Louis Burcham, aged 67 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born August 27, 1957 in Nelsonville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Noel Reed and Georgia Kathryn (Davis) Burcham.
During life, Rich was the Circulation Manager for the Logan Daily News for 27 years as well as the City of Logan Recreation Director for 20 years. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley United Brethren in Christ Church in Logan, Ohio. A lover of sports, Rich was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Lucille “Lucy” (Shook) Burcham; daughters, Courtney (Matthew) Hazelip of Washington Court House, Ohio, Catherine (Seth) Stimmel of Logan, Ohio, and Christine Burcham of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Carter, Kaiden, and Silas Stimmel and Elliana and Garrett Hazelip; brothers, James R. “Jamie” Burcham of Logan, Ohio and Brian D. (Bonnie) Burcham of Logan, Ohio; sister, Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Harris of Logan, Ohio; nephew, Ronnie (Lauriel) Burcham; and niece, Shaunna (Greg) Dexter.
Besides his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brothers, Noel “Randy” Burcham and Robert Burcham; and nephew, Noel R. Burcham III.
A funeral service officiated by Reverend Jason Sheets and Pastor Ronnie Burcham will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Burial will follow in Scott’s Creek Cemetery in Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025 and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Roberts Funeral Home.
