Robert John "Bob" Bartholomew, age 89 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Logan, Ohio.
Born November 15, 1923 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Oscar Gerald and Gladys Marie (Sims) Bartholomew.
Bob had earned a Mechanical Engineer Diploma and was a registered professional Engineer. He formerly worked for Logan Clay Products Company-Logan Ohio, Metal Powder Products Company-Logan, Ohio and retired in 1983 from Anchor Hocking Corporation-Lancaster, Ohio. Bob was an US Army Veteran having served during WWII. He had served for thirty-one years as a Boy Scout Master for Troop #254 apast master of Mingo Lodge 171 F&AMand was a life member for the National Rifle Association and the American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Letha Lou (Poling) Bartholomew; two sons, James Lee (Renee) Bartholomew of Logan, Ohio and David L. (Teresa) Bartholomew of Lancaster, Ohio; one daughter, Carol Ann (Ron) Fox of Lancaster, Ohio; one sister, Catherine (Ralph) Cox of Florida and seven grandchildren, Elise, Hannah & Mary Bartholomew, Mike (Lori) Tigner, John, Mark & Matt Bartholomew.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Oscar Bartholomew Jr. and one sister, Patricia Bartholomew.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. November 21. 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home-Logan, Ohio with Reverend Clarence M. Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery- Logan, Ohio.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
