Robert Daniel "Danny" Coffill Sr.

Robert Daniel “Danny” Coffill Sr., aged 69 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 21, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late James Robert and Louella (Clark) Coffill.

Danny worked as a corrections officer for SCI in Lancaster, Ohio for 22 years. He was a proud member of Logan Moose Lodge 873 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 2168. An outdoorsman, Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, brush hogging, quad-riding, boating, and NASCAR, as well as painting and fixing furniture.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Kay (Blackwood) Coffill; sons, Robert Daniel “Danny” (Jeanette) Coffill Jr. of Logan, Ohio and Aaron (Hannah) Hamilton of Logan, Ohio; daughter, Sarah (Mike) Britch of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Cora, Carrington, Cailyn, Nicole, Courtney, Tristan, Mallory, and Payton; and brother, James Curtis of Zaleski, Ohio.

Besides his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Mindy Nicole Chappelear; and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Chappelear.   

A funeral service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 1 PM officiated by Pastor John T. Williams. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery in Washington Township, Hocking County, Ohio.

Visitation will take place from 3-5 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Roberts Funeral Home, where an Eagles memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM.
