Ronald "Clayton" Bunthoff, age 65 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 after an extended illness at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Born May 23, 1947 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ben and Ruth Evelyn (Coakley) Bunthoff.
Clayton was an U.S. Army Veteran having served during Vietnam. He retired from Sawmiller, Inc. as a truck driver. He was a member of the Logan Moose Lodge, VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Logan, Ohio. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed woodworking.
Clayton is survived by his loving wife, Jan Marie (Thorpe) Bunthoff; one son, Scott Anthony (Teresa) Bunthoff of Logan, Ohio; two grandchildren, Shayne Bunthoff of Logan, Ohio and Hannah Bunthoff Sewell of Hubert, North Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Hayden Jordan Sewell of Hubert, North Carolina; two step-grandchildren, Tyler Sutton of Logan, Ohio and Lindsay Sutton of Lancaster, Ohio; one step-great-granddaughter, Hayden Sutton of Logan, Ohio; one brother, Royden Bunthoff of Lancaster, Ohio; two sisters, Rosemary (Randall) Hampton of Logan, Ohio and Ronna (Pete) Pickett of Texas; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Bunthoff.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home-Logan, Ohio with Reverend Charles Fidler officiating.
Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio where a Military Service will be held by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
