Rosalie "Rose" Aileen (VanGundy) Sammons

Rosalie “Rose” Aileen Sammons, aged 72 of Union Furnace, Ohio, passed away at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Born May 13, 1952 in Lancaster, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Eugene and Aileen Marie (Bowersock) VanGundy.

During life, Rose was a loving homemaker and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Ray Sammons; daughter, Stephanie Danielle (Shawn) Williams of Union Furnace, Ohio; sons, Harry Lee Parker of Malta, Ohio and James Lucas Kimble of Logan, Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jennie Murphy and Loretta Hill.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio on Friday, June 7, 2024.
