Roy Albert Hendricks

Roy Albert Hendricks, age 78 of Thurston, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born January 10, 1944 in Syracuse, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter Matthew and Nondus Marie (Chapman) Hendricks.

Roy graduated from Southern Local High School in Racine, Ohio and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an industrial maintenance technician for Premix/Venture Co. in Lancaster, Ohio. Roy liked to hunt, fish, camp, and frequent yard sales in his free time. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.   

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia Susan (Stephen) Hendricks; two sons, Ron Hendricks of Logan, Ohio and Derrick (Jennifer) Reedy of Thurston, Ohio; two daughters, Cathy Taylor of Logan, Ohio and Casey (Lance) Hartsock of Somerset, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Terry and John Friesner, Seth Hartsock, Josh Hendricks, Rylee and Ryder Myers and Hunter and Autumn Reedy; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Lane Friesner and Chloe Hendricks; one brother, Steve (Denise) Hendricks of Logan, Ohio; and two sisters, Kay Rowe of Racine, Ohio and Rosemary Randolph of Velva, North Dakota.

Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sister, Dottie Sue Hendricks.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.
