Russell Virginia Price Jr.

Russell Virginia Price Jr., aged 84 of New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Born April 23, 1941 in Odd, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Russell Virginia Sr. and Lula Faye (Roark) Price.

During life, Russell worked as a truck driver. He loved riding motorcycles and four-wheelers as well as playing cards. An outdoorsman, Russell loved hunting, as well as looking for wild ginseng and mushrooms. Russell was also a skilled and self-taught guitar and banjo player as well as bluegrass musician. Most of all, Russell loved spending time with his family and friends.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Vertie Luressia (Roark) Price; sons, Darrell G. Price of New Plymouth, Ohio, Steven K. (Lisa) Price of Grove City, Ohio, Carl “Scott” (Hope Graham) Price of South Bloomingville, Ohio, and Eric L. (Cindy) Price of Nelsonville, Ohio; daughters, Cindy L. (John) Park of Jackson, Ohio and Sherry A. (Bill) Haley of Grove City, Ohio; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Bowden and Savon Vickers, both of Grove City, Ohio; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey A. Price; brother, Max Price; and sister, Irene Bryant.

A funeral service officiated by Shane Vickers will be held for Russell at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Burial will follow in Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
