Samuell Dane Lightfoot

Samuell Dane Lightfoot, aged 37, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, following a brief illness.

Born March 26, 1986 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of Gregory Dane and Diane Ruth (Wilson) Lightfoot.

Sam previously worked as a machinist for Fairfield Machine Products in Carroll, Ohio. He was a 2004 graduate of Woodridge High School in Peninsula, Ohio. Sam began his high school years in Logan, where he was a member of the Logan Marching Chieftains. His hobbies included motorcycling, shooting and gaming. Sam was an avid animal lover, especially his cats. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved his kids more than anything.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sharla Jeanette (Hall) Lightfoot; two daughters, Lakely and Tegan Lightfoot; one stepdaughter, Airabella Hall; two half-sisters, Angella Naasko and Nina Lightfoot; grandmother, Evelyn “Kay” Wilson; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Denton Wilson and Donald and Jean Lightfoot.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Roberts Funeral Home- Logan, Ohio, where friends and family are welcome to share their memories of Sam.
