Scotty Fernandes, aged 55 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at Hocking Valley Community Hospital on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Born July 13, 1968 in Putnam, Connecticut, he was the son of Virginio Fernandes and Martha Elaine (Malloy) Letourneau.
Scotty worked as a fuel delivery driver for Holder Oil. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. As a boy, Scotty was a member of the Boy Scouts, which he greatly enjoyed. Scotty had a great deal of love for his community and was a proud member of St. John Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. An outdoorsman, Scotty enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Above all, Scotty loved being a father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Scotty is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jael (Bellavance) Fernandes; children, Isabelle, Michael, Elanna, Julia, Angelina, Natalia, and Anthony Fernandes; sister, Laura (Mark) Boire; brothers, Virginio (Michelle) Fernandes and Louis (Melissa) Fernandes; four grandchildren, Lily, Nyxe, Kelley, and Ollie; longtime best friend Louis Beaudreau; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial mass officiated by Fr. Stephen L. Krile will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11 AM.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
