Shawn Wayne Williams, aged 58 of Logan, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, 2022 at his residence..
Born January 24, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roger Williams and James Maywood and Judy Ellen (Devol) Amnah.
Shawn worked as a “yard dog” for the Walmart Distribution Center in Grove City, Ohio and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Rockbridge, Ohio. He served as a board member for the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway and enjoyed spending every weekend volunteering there, as trains were his passion. Shawn also enjoyed square dancing and adored spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by two sisters; Traci Dawn (Jarrod) Higdon of London, Ohio and Tina Nicole Amnah (J.R.) Edwards of Logan, Ohio; aunt, Donna Lehman; nieces and nephews, Beau (Brittany) Perry, Melanie Perry, Jamie (Kyle) Klein, Brooke (Thomas) Henning and Britany (Woody) Frasure; several great nieces and nephews; and cousins, Brenda (William) Wolfe, Pam (Al) Bookman and Darl L. (Judy) Lehman; and best friend, Dan Sudlow.
Besides his parents, Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Devol, Ella Devol, Gartha Williams, and Winford Amnah; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, officiated by Gabrielle Hudecek.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial train ride for Shawn will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville, OH. All are welcome.
Inurnment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Hocking Co., Ohio.
