Thomas Edward “Tom” Gordon, aged 80 of Logan, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, December 5, 2022 at his residence.
Born October 9, 1942 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas Franklin and Mary Josephine (Miller) Gordon.
Tom retired from Diamond Power in Lancaster, Ohio after 45 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Hocking County Fish and Game Association. Some other hobbies Tom enjoyed were farming, gardening and mushroom hunting. Tom was always willing to help out where needed, including volunteering for Logan In Bloom and the Logan Band Boosters. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna J. (Wade) Gordon; two daughters, J’dean (Jeff) Vollmer and Shelley Burns, both of Logan; and three grandchildren, Candace (Jacob) Smith, Hannah Vollmer and Jessica Burns.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Weis and infant sister, Letha Gordon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home- Logan, officiated by Pr. David Sherman.
Entombment will follow at New Fairview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum- Good Hope Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio., preceded by a military service conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the funeral home.
