Thomas Robert Miller III

Thomas Robert Miller III, aged 79, passed away at home Thursday, June 25, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Tom was born February 10, 1947, in Columbus Ohio, the oldest of 12 children, to Dorothy Regina (Kramer) Miller and Thomas Robert Miller Jr. He graduated from Bexley High School in 1965 and served in the United States Navy from 1966-72. Tom was a graduate of DeVry Technical School and pursued knowledge and skills all his life, including as a first-class mechanic specializing in Fiats and sports cars. He worked at Battelle Research Institute in Columbus and Sun Research Institute in Logan, and established his own company, Miller PCB Services, where he designed and built circuit boards. Tom was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Tom married Martha Bramlage in 1969. Martha preceded him in death in 2015, along with his brother David in that same year and nephew Andrew Miller in 2024. Along with Martha, family, and friends, Tom built a log cabin in Logan utilizing logs from three old log cabins in the area. Tom was a man of many skills, and he loved working with stone. He was a lifelong motorcycle rider and crisscrossed the United States many times on motorcycles including on his honeymoon with Martha. Tom was committed to helping others and volunteered on numerous disaster relief missions all over the eastern United States with the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Ohio Team.

Tom's legacy of love, respect, dedication to family and service to others will be continued by his brothers and sisters and their families: Susan Crone, Daniel Miller, Janet and Robert Stover, Dodie and Doug Felger, Ronald and Jenna Miller, Steven and Tricia Miller, Sally Miller, Tim Miller and Kathy Casto, Ruth Miller and George Valentino, Bernie Miller and Jacqui Brown Miller, numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins especially his lifelong friend and cousin David Kirwin.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Steve Hubbard will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Logan, Ohio at 11 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place in the columbarium Tom built on his property at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
