Tonya Kay McCarthy, 61 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born July 1, 1960 in Nelsonville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David Paul and Mary Margaret (Yates) Baker.
Tonya was a homemaker and member of New Life Christian Center. She enjoyed camping, auctions, yard sales and most of all, spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert James “Bob” McCarthy; two sons, Caleb Andrew McCarthy of Columbus and James Robert McCarthy of Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Shawna Marie Diller and Janie Rena McCarthy, both of Logan; three grandchildren, AddeLynn and Ezekiel Diller and Donovan McCarthy; one brother, David (Esther) Baker of Logan; three sisters, Margaret “Dalene” Baker of Athens, Ohio, Anita (Jim) Phillips of Logan, and Angie (Roger) Potter of Thomasville, North Carolina.
Besides her parents, Tonya was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Joseph Baker.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at New Life Christian Center- 2642 Columbus-Lancaster Road NW, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, officiated by Pastor Gary Keller.
Burial will follow in Shaw Cemetery, Falls Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at Roberts Funeral Home- Logan and from 1 PM until time of service Saturday at the church.
Guests are suggested to follow current pandemic guidelines by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
