Vera Fern (Huber) Van Sickle

Vera Fern Van Sickle, age 89 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at Carlin House Assisted Living in Logan.

She was born April 28, 1933 in Rushcreek Twp., Fairfield Co., Ohio to the late Pearley Nelson and Edith Forest (Sheets) Huber.

Vera was the secretary/bookkeeper for Van Sickle Construction until retirement. She was a member of Kline Memorial United Methodist Church in Enterprise, Ohio. Vera was a former member of TOPS Club and TWIG II. She was also the former secretary for Starcraft Camper Club and Friends Camper Club.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Bryan “Bobby” (Carol) Van Sickle and Charles Edwin “Chuckie” (Dyan) Van Sickle, both of Logan; two daughters, Ruth Ann Van Sickle of Logan and Susan (Charlie) Mansfield of Pomeroy, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry Nash; sisters-in-law, Katie Nixon and Sherry Huber; and lifelong friend, Janie Devol.

Besides her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert “Bob” Van Sickle; twin brothers, Rolland and Russell Huber; and sister, Betty Nash.

There will be no services at this time per Vera’s wishes. Her final resting place will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bremen, Ohio.
