Virgil “Jack” Sharb, age 94 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at the Carlin House in Logan, Ohio.
Born August 17th, 1926 in Haydenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Oprea and Marie (Arghilan) Sharb.
Jack was a US Navy World War II veteran. He had worked in the restaurant and bar business since 1944 and was the former owner and operator of Jack’s Steakhouse. Jack was a member of the Logan Moose Lodge, the American Legion, the Nelsonville Elks Lodge, the Hocking County Farm Bureau, and Amvets Post #1776. Jack greatly enjoyed playing the game euchre.
Jack is survived by two sons, Jack Arthur Sharb of Logan, Ohio and C.J. Bush of Orangevale, California; four grandchildren, Jack J. (Gwen) Sharb of Nelsonville, Ohio, Brian Sharb of Paisley, Florida, Cory Bush of Newark, Ohio, and Eric Bush of Columbus, Ohio; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Gideon (Katie) Sharb of Logan, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, June Adaline (Canan) Sharb in 1972; one son, David Lee Sharb, in 1980; one grandson, Jason Sharb; two sisters, Mary Ann Brown and Virginia Champ; two brothers, Victor and George Sharb; and a very good friend, Phyllis Bush.
Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio. Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
