William "Bill" Mack Tootle

William “Bill” Mack Tootle, aged 88 of Logan, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born August 19, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the foster son of the late William and Rilla Hutchison and Mary Hutchison-Smith. He was married to Judy (Stivison) Tootle for 58 years.

Bill always said, “if you are doing what you love, it will never feel like a job”. He was the proud owner of JuBil Enterprises and drove semi-trucks for over 65 years. Bill was ambitious, strong-willed and one of the hardest workers around. Bill led by example, instilling in his sons a strong work ethic through his dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to hard work, teaching them the value of integrity and determination in everything they do. Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed sitting at a card table playing cards or shooting pool with his friends. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was listening to classic country music or his favorite nightly sweet treat. Bill had a gift of storytelling, captivating everyone around him with vivid tales of his past experiences, sharing his wisdom, humor, and memories with all who would listen. 

Bill was a member of Logan Moose Lodge #873.

Bill is survived by his sons; Steve (Debi) Tootle and Brian (Amy) Tootle, both of Logan, Ohio. Grandchildren, Eric (Amanda) Levering, Dustin Coy (Jenni) Tootle, Cody Tootle and Delaney (Tyler) Sinnott; 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Tootle.

A funeral service officiated by Father Daniel Olvera will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 1 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home from 4-8 PM with a Moose Lodge Memorial Service held at 7 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 and from 12 PM until time of service on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
